Dim green light enables day‐and‐night monitoring of leaf movements
SUMMARY Understanding plant growth, movement and development in the aerial plant body requires imaging across day‐and‐night cycles to quantify temporal dynamics and rhythmicity. This requires imaging in light during the day and in darkness at night without perturbing plant physiology.

Abstract Lidar observations above McMurdo, Antarctica from 2011 to 2024 are used to characterize gravity wave (GWs) potential energies (Ep ${E}_{p}$) in the mesosphere and lower thermosphere (MLT). Alongside characterizations in the middle atmosphere (30–70 km), the GW baselines show dissipation at all altitudes from 30 to 110 km.
