Fabrication of nanoscale metallic air-bridges by introducing a SiO2 sacrificial layer

open access: yes, 2007
A new method to fabricate nanoscale metallic air-bridges has been investigated. The pillar patterns of the air-bridge were defined on a SiO2, sacrificial layer by electron-beam lithography combined with inductively coupled plasma etching. Thereafter, the

In Situ Crystalline‐Amorphous Composite Oxide Structure Suppressing Thermal Wear Instability for Refractory Multi‐Principal Element Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An effective strategy is developed to overcome the medium temperatures wear resistance degradation in refractory multi‐principal element alloys. By utilizing chemical short‐range ordering to trigger oxygen‐induced amorphization, a composite oxide structure is formed, which combines high hardness with robust stiffness.

Fabrication of Silicon Condenser Microphone Using Oxidized Porous Silicon as Sacrificial Layer

open access: yes, 2003
A new technique to fabricate silicon condenser microphone is presented. The technique is based on the use of oxidized porous silicon as sacrificial layer for the air gap and the heavy p~+-doping silicon of approximately 15μm thickness for the stiff ...

Tuneable Capacitor based on dual picks profile of the sacrificial layer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper, we present a novel dual gap tuneable capacitor process based on the profile of the sacrificial layer. This profile involves a tri-layer photo-resist process with only one mask level.

Nanoengineered Binetworks in Multifunctional Anionic Block Polymer Mesoblends for Improved Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mesoblends consist of a nanostructured polymer into which a second polymer is imbibed with a selective solvent. In this work, a solvent‐templatable pentablock terpolymer possessing a sulfonated midblock is modified with a hydrophilic polymer that is photocrosslinked in situ, yielding a hierarchical binetwork.
