Introduction After a stroke, a wide range of deficits can occur with varying onset latencies. As a result, assessing impairment and recovery are enormous challenges in neurorehabilitation. Although several clinical scales are generally accepted, they are

Exact QFT duals of AdS black holes
We construct large N saddle points of the matrix model for the N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 Yang- Mills index dual to the BPS black holes in AdS 5 × S 5, in two different setups.

This paper is devoted to the investigation of optimality conditions and saddle point theorems for robust approximate quasi-weak efficient solutions for a nonsmooth uncertain multiobjective fractional semi-infinite optimization problem (NUMFP). Firstly, a

Saddle-point scrambling without thermalization [PDF]
Out-of-time-order correlators (OTOCs) have proven to be a useful tool for studying thermalisation in quantum systems. In particular, the exponential growth of OTOCS, or scrambling, is sometimes taken as an indicator of chaos in quantum systems, despite the fact that saddle points in integrable systems can also drive rapid growth in OTOCs.

Loop expansion around the Bethe-Peierls approximation for lattice models [PDF]
We develop an effective field theory for lattice models, in which the only non-vanishing diagrams exactly reproduce the topology of the lattice. The Bethe-Peierls approximation appears naturally as the saddle point approximation.

3D Flow of Hybrid Nanomaterial through a Circular Cylinder: Saddle and Nodal Point Aspects
This mathematical model explains the behavior of sinusoidal radius activity in stagnation point three-dimensional flow of hybrid nanoparticles through a circular cylinder.

The Region of Validity of Homogeneous Nucleation Theory [PDF]
We examine the region of validity of Langer's picture of homogeneous nucleation. Our approach is based on a coarse-grained free energy that incorporates the effect of fluctuations with momenta above a scale k.

Two-terminal conductance fluctuations in the integer quantum Hall regime [PDF]
Motivated by recent experiments on the conductance fluctuations in mesoscopic integr quantum Hall systems, we consider a model in which the Coulomb interactions are incorporated into the picture of edge-state transport through a single saddle-point.

Saddle Pressures Factors in Road and Off-Road Cyclists of Both Genders: A Narrative Review
The contact point of the pelvis with the saddle of the bicycle could generate abnormal pressure, which could lead to injuries to the perineum in cyclists.
