Effect of Field Line Torsion on the Polarization of ULF Waves

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract In this paper we suggest a simple modification of the dipole magnetic field which introduces field‐aligned currents and torsion to the field lines. The resulting field lines are not contained in the meridional planes and have resemblance to the geomagnetic field lines in the dawn and dusk flanks of the magnetosphere. We analyze polarization of

A Temperature Increase Induces Atf1/Pcr1‐Dependent Rapid Depletion of Histones in Transcriptionally Activated Gene Bodies in Fission Yeast

open access: yesGenes to Cells, Volume 31, Issue 2, March 2026.
In the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe, the transcription factor complex Atf1‐Pcr1 is activated by phosphorylation upon heat stress to initiate a rapid cellular response. This activated complex facilitates the significant eviction of histone H3 from the transcribed regions of specific genes termed HOT‐DOGs. RNAP II, depicted as delivery trucks,
