A new combination Xylosma zollingeriana (Miq.) R.Kr.Singh & Sanjeet Kumar is made here for Rottlera zollingeriana Miq. In addition, lectotype is designated here for R. zollingeriana Miq. to fix the identity and to avoid the misapplication of name.
