ABSTRACT Age‐related hearing loss (ARHL) is a degenerative disorder of the auditory system, characterized by bilateral symmetrical sensorineural hearing loss that occurs with aging. As a highly prevalent age‐related condition worldwide, ARHL significantly impairs both the quality of life and mental health of the elderly.

Cellulose Acetate Fibers With Infiltrated ZnO Nanocrystals: Activation of Antibacterial Properties Against Acne vulgaris by Oxygen Plasma Treatment

We present biodegradable cellulose acetate fibers infiltrated with ZnO nanocrystals for Acne treatment. Fibers produced by centrifugal spinning were vapor‐phase infiltrated to contain uniform ZnO nanocrystals. Oxygen plasma treatment enhanced the fibers´ wettability.
