Winter Natural Evaporation Experiment of Deep Brine With Sand‐Gravel Pores in Da Lang Tan

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 8, August 2026.
The deep sand gravel type pore brine in Qaidam Basin belongs to unsaturated chloride type brine with high calcium, high sodium and low potassium. A total of 600 kg of graveltypepore brine at 1000–2000 m underground in Dalangtan mining area, was selected for the test, and evaporated and crysta‐llized in the natural state in summer.

Design and Optimization of Low‐Salinity Alkali–Surfactant Flooding for Chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery in Carbonate Reservoirs

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 8, August 2026.
The hybrid low‐salinity and AS flood with a maximum incremental oil recovery (OOIP basis) of up to 20%–25% was recorded above those of conventional operation waterflooding in oil‐wet carbonate core samples. ABSTRACT Oil‐wet carbonate reservoirs may also have low recovery efficiency in the Middle East where the reservoir temperature is high and there ...

Covalently Immobilized Lignin–Xanthene Conjugates for Persistent Surface Photochemistry and Self‐Sterilizing Interfaces Under Ambient Visible Light

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, Volume 47, Issue 15, 4 August 2026.
Bio‐derived lignin–Eosin Y macromolecular networks are developed as visible‐light‐responsive self‐sterilizing coatings that generate reactive oxygen species without leaching. The spray‐coated photopolymerized surfaces exhibit durable antibacterial and antiviral activity under ambient light for extended periods, demonstrating a scalable and sustainable ...
