CcNAC6 Acts as a Positive Regulator of Secondary Cell Wall Synthesis in Sudan Grass (Sorghum sudanense S.)

open access: yesPlants
The degree of forage lignification is a key factor affecting its digestibility by ruminants such as cattle and sheep. Sudan grass (Sorghum sudanense S.) is a high-quality sorghum forage, and its lignocellulose is mostly stored in the secondary cell wall.

Natural genetic variation in calcium sensor genes as a novel resource for abiotic stress tolerance in crops

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science
Abiotic stress represents a significant and increasing challenge to global crop productivity and food security. Calcium (Ca2+) signaling, initiated by specific “Ca2+ signatures” and interpreted by sensor proteins such as calcium-dependent protein kinases

Foamed Concrete Sealing Materials for Coal Seam Gas Drainage Boreholes: A Review

open access: yesSafety Science and Technology, EarlyView.
This study investigates the sealing performance of foamed concrete in gas drainage boreholes. By comparing leakage pathways (a, c) with sealed systems (b, d), the research demonstrates how foamed concrete effectively fills mining‐induced fractures and resists deformation.

Assessment of Oxidative Stress, Vitellogenin, and Human Health Risks Derived From Nile Tilapia Exposed to Metals and Metalloids in Southeastern Brazil

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Urban coastal lagoons are highly vulnerable ecosystems increasingly affected by metal contamination, as well as multiple anthropogenic stressors. This study evaluated ecotoxicological and human health risks associated with chronic metal exposure in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) from an anthropogenically impacted lagoon in southeastern ...

Reclamation of saline-alkali soils in Xinjiang: A review

open access: yesGuan'gai paishui xuebao
Saline-alkali soils in Xinjiang are extensive and diverse. Reclaiming these soils for agricultural production plays a critical role in safeguarding food security in China. Exploring reclamation technologies that align with the arid environmental nature and modern water-saving irrigation techniques unique in the region is crucial for the sustainable use

Electrochemical decolorization of acid dye baths and their reuse potential in subsequent textile dyeing processes

open access: yesColoration Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract This study investigates the electrochemical decolorization of waste acid dye baths and evaluates their potential reuse in subsequent textile dyeing processes. Four different anode materials (iron, aluminum, stainless steel and graphite) were examined to optimize color removal efficiency and assess the influence of electrochemically generated ...

GSK3α‐mediated regulation of the RNA demethylase fat mass and obesity‐associated protein (FTO) during murine spermatogenesis

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
FTO regulates mRNA stability and translational efficiency through its m6A‐demethylation activity. GSK3 functions as an upstream regulator of FTO, leading to its inhibition via phosphorylation. In male germ cells, FTO activity is kept in check by GSK3α.
