From Waste to Value: Conversion of Calcium Sulfate to Vaterite via Carbon Capture and Storage
This study introduces a new concept for carbon management that relies on the carbonation of industrial gypsum waste and yields phase‐pure vaterite at ambient conditions without any additives. The obtained vaterite is further shown to be a reactive material that develops compressive strength in aqueous suspensions like conventional cements.

Porous 3D‐printed titanium implants are made bioactive by integration with a supramolecular peptide‐hyaluronic acid nanofibrillar scaffold, without the addition of exogenous cells or growth factors. Uniform filling of the implant architecture promotes vascularized, spatially homogeneous bone regeneration, significantly enhancing osteogenesis throughout

Soil salinization and alkalization are serious global challenges that adversely affect crop growth and yield. In this study, six genotypes of giant reed (Arundo donax) seedlings (LvZhou_No.1, LvZhou_No.3, LvZhou_No.6, LvZhou_No.11, LvZhou_No.12 and LvZhou_Var.) originating from different regions of China and Rwanda were utilized as experimental ...

Principles for Rigorous Design and Application of Synthetic Microbial Communities
SynComs are artificially designed to enable inter‐species metabolic interactions, metabolic division of labor, and ecological interactions that can elicit phenotypes like colonization stability and environmental adaptation. This systematic review explores the processes used to construct SynComs, the assessment of the mechanisms of metabolic interaction
