Abstract Objective Emerging adulthood (EAs; ages 19–29 years) is a unique developmental stage marked by major psychological, social, and occupational transitions. We sought to characterize the clinical, psychosocial, and surgical features of epilepsy in emerging adulthood, considering both current age and age at epilepsy onset.

High‐frequency oscillations after acute hemorrhagic traumatic brain injury: insights into posttraumatic epilepsy development

Abstract Objective The development of posttraumatic epilepsy after traumatic brain injury (TBI) is potentially identifiable by measuring biomarkers of epileptogenesis, namely pathological high‐frequency oscillations (pHFOs). pHFOs are promising candidates, but it remains uncertain whether they can be detected early after TBI in clinical settings.

Low diagnostic yield of presurgical genetic testing in adult patients with epilepsy

Pulsed light technology uses short high‐intensity broad‐spectrum flashes (200–1100 nm) to inactivate microbes via DNA damage. It preserves food quality, extends shelf life, and works on liquids, meats, and produce, often combined with other hurdles for enhanced efficacy.
