Donju Neretvu naseljavaju mekousna pastrva Salmo obtusirostris, jadranska potočara S. farioides, glavatica S. marmoratus, dunavska i atlantska linija potočare i zubatak S. dentex, kojeg identitet još nije utvrđen. U donjoj Neretvi živi i neopisani salmonid s nadimkom ?zubara?.
