High resolution palaeoenvironmental analyses of coastal wetland sediments from South East Sicily [PDF]
This thesis was submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and awarded by Brunel University. This study examines the sedimentology of salt marshes and lagoonal sediments from coastal wetland settings in south east Sicily. Palaeoenvironmentasl tudies

Wave dissipation by flexible vegetation [PDF]
Dissipation of waves propagating through natural salt marsh vegetation was about half the dissipation expected for rigid vegetation. This low dissipation was predicted by a theoretical model that accounts for bending of vegetation by wave motions.

Coastal salt marshes are valuable and critical components of tidal landscapes, currently threatened by increasing rates of sea level rise, wave-induced lateral erosion, decreasing sediment supply, and human pressure.

Modeling Salt Marsh Vegetation Height Using Unoccupied Aircraft Systems and Structure from Motion
Salt marshes provide important services to coastal ecosystems in the southeastern United States. In many locations, salt marsh habitats are threatened by coastal development and erosion, necessitating large-scale monitoring.

Salt-marsh plants play important roles in the hydrodynamics and sediment transport and deposition processes in coastal regions. The Delft3D model was applied to quantify the influence of salt-marsh plants on the hydrodynamic characteristics and suspended

The protective role of coastal marshes: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
BackgroundSalt marshes lie between many human communities and the coast and have been presumed to protect these communities from coastal hazards by providing important ecosystem services.

Impact of sheep grazing on juvenile sea bass, Dicentrarchus labrax L., in tidal salt marshes [PDF]
The diet of young of the year sea bass, Dicentrarchus labrax L., from sheep grazed and ungrazed tidal salt marshes were com-pared qualitatively and quantitatively in Mont Saint-Michel Bay.
