Distinct Ligand‐ and Metal‐Centered Phosphorescence in a Terbium Carbazolyl Complex

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Terbium and lanthanum carbazolide complexes show two distinct modes of luminescence: Strongly temperature‐dependent narrow‐line terbium emission could be induced. In addition, both the terbium and the lanthanum complexes show broad‐line interligand emission processes with excited states of microsecond life‐time.

The Stabilization of High‐Nitrogen Systems: 10 Catenated Nitrogen Chain

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Improving the understanding of high‐nitrogen materials. ABSTRACT High‐nitrogen materials have attracted intense interest in recent decades due to their unique chemical, physical, and biological properties. Stabilizing high‐nitrogen materials is often challenging as they become more unstable with increasing nitrogen catenation and nitrogen mass ...

Morphological Control of Aurophilic Chains of Gold(I) Dithiolate Dimers With Alkali and Alkali Earth Cations

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Luminescent coordination polymers of Group 1 (Li, K, Cs) and 2 (Mg─Ba) cations with gold(I) iso‐maleonitriledithiolate ({Au2[S2C = C(CN)2]}2−) units were prepared; 1‐D aurophilic chains are present in all cases. The structures strongly depend on cation charge and size, with N‐cyano coordination observed in the Gp 1 and larger Gp 2 cations. Increasingly

Templated synthesis of cyclic poly(ionic liquid)s

open access: yes, 2019
Charged cyclic polymers, e.g. cyclic DNAs and polypeptides, play enabling roles in organisms, but their synthesis was challenging due to the well known polyelectrolyte effect.

Mild N‑Arylation of Sulfoximines With (Hetero)aryl Chlorides Enabled by α‐Methylnaphthyl‐tBuBrettPhos Palladium Triflate

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A readily accessible, air‐ and moisture‐stable palladium precatalyst, [Pd(1‐MeNAP)(tBuBrettPhos)]OTf, enables the direct N‐arylation of NH‐sulfoximines with (hetero)aryl chlorides under exceptionally mild conditions ideal for late‐stage diversification of drug‐like scaffolds.

The Parent GaH2SbH2 Monomer Stabilized by an N‐Heterocyclic Carbene

open access: yesChemistryEurope
The synthesis and characterization of the stibanyltrielanes IDipp·GaH2Sb(SiMe3)2 (1a) and IDipp·BH2Sb(SiMe3)2 (1b) are presented. 1a represents the first example for the isolation of a molecular stibanylgallane monomer stabilized only by a Lewis base (LB)

Synthesis and Reactivity of Extremely Electron‐Poor Au(III) Complexes Bearing OTf− or NTf2− Ligands

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A new family of electron‐poor Au(III) cations bearing bistriflimide or triflate ligands is reported. These cations can undergo direct C─H metalation with simple arenes to give mono‐aryl cations. Subsequent addition of simple halide sources allows for reductive elimination of aryl halides, formally from Ar─H and X−. ABSTRACT The synthesis and structural

Vinylic Addition Polynorbornene in Catalysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Vinylic addition polynorbornenes (VA-PNB) result from the insertion polymerization of norbornene or specific norbornene derivatives catalyzed by transition metal com- plexes. The VA-PNB skeleton is completely aliphatic and keeps the bicyclic structure of
