Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Sampled-data control for a class of linear systems with randomly occurring missing data

open access: yes, 2019
© Springer International Publishing AG, part of Springer Nature 2019. In this chapter, design methods of the sampled-data control under missing data for dynamics systems have been developed. Two models of discontinuous sampled-data control signals in the

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

IZA/IAB Linked Evaluation Dataset

open access: yes, 2023
The IZA/IAB Linked Evaluation Dataset 1993-2010 was created in the context of the research project trying to obtain reliable estimates for the impact of active labor market policies (ALMP) and understand why and how programs work or not.In cooperation ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Robust Fusion of Irregularly Sampled Data Using Adaptive Normalized Convolution

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2006
We present a novel algorithm for image fusion from irregularly sampled data. The method is based on the framework of normalized convolution (NC), in which the local signal is approximated through a projection onto a subspace. The use of polynomial basis

Stability Analysis of Sampled-Data Control Systems With Constant Communication Delays

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper deals with the problem of stability for aperiodically sampled-data control systems with constant communication delays. Less conservative results are derived by two main techniques.

Memory-based sampled-data control scheme for vehicle seat suspension system with actuator faults via a looped Lyapunov approach [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper addresses the problem of controlling the Vehicle Seat Suspension System (VSSS) under actuator faults using a memory-based sampled-data control (MSDC) strategy, incorporating looped Lyapunov functions.
