Unequal probability sampling without replacement through a splitting method
A very general class of sampling methods without replacement and with unequal probabilities is proposed. It consists of splitting the inclusion probability vector into several new inclusion probability vectors.

Mass spectrometry based identification of AMP‐O‐Tris generated by Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10
Isolated Thermococcus onnurineus Cas10 generates the noncanonical ATP‐derived product AMP‐O‐Tris while in Tris‐containing buffer as identified via mass spectrometry, revealing relaxed nucleophile selectivity under isolated conditions. These findings suggest that multiprotein Csm complex assembly restricts Cas10 reactivity toward canonical cyclic ...

Sampling Without Replacement: Durstenfeld-Fisher-Yates Permutation for Very Large Permutation Sizes
We present a modification of the Durstenfeld-Fisher-Yates random-permutation algorithm for use in sampling without replacement from a large ...

This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

Comparison of confidence intervals for fraction in finite populations
Consider a finite population. Let θ ∈(0,1) denotes the fraction of units with a given property. The problem is in interval estimation of θ on the basis of a sample drawn due to the simple random sampling without replacement. In the paper three confidence

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

On a Unified Framework for Sampling with and without Replacement in Decision Tree Ensembles
Classifier ensembles is an active area of research within the machine learning community. One of the most successful techniques is bagging, where an algorithm (typically a decision tree inducer) is applied over several di#erent training sets, obtained

The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Edgeworth expansions for sampling without replacement from finite populations
The validity of the one-term Edgeworth expansion is proved for the multivariate mean of a random sample drawn without replacement under a limiting non-latticeness condition on the population.
