Vibrational Exfoliation of 2D Materials

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Vibrational energy folds, fractures and exfoliates atomically and molecularly thin materials. Combining experimentation and computational methods, this unique vibrational synthesis pathway is revealed. This process overcomes barriers of existing approaches by processing 1000 g/L dispersions without loss in yield.

Ultrasensitive Detection of Neurofilament Light in Plasma Using F(Ab’)2‐Modified Graphene Field‐Effect Biosensor

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
An antibody fragment (F(ab')2)‐modified graphene field‐effect transistor biosensor is developed for the ultrasensitive detection of neurofilament light chain in clinical plasma. By reducing the Debye screening effect, the platform achieves a 114% sensitivity increase and a fivefold lower detection limit compared to whole‐antibody approaches ...

Quantitative Analysis of Topographic Crosstalk in DART‐ESM Arising from Feedback‐Loop‐Delay‐Induced Contact Stiffness Variations in Battery Materials

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Interpretation of Dual AC Resonance‐Tracking Electrochemical Strain Microscopy (DART‐ESM) signals is complicated by topography‐induced artifacts that distort measured responses. Using silicon with artificial trench structures as a reference, this study quantifies artifact magnitude and demonstrates that Cooling Cross‐Section Polishing (CCP) effectively

Transforming Paper into Plasmonic Sensors: One‐Step Fabrication of High‐Enhancement SERS Nanosubstrates via Surface Energy Control

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Cellulose paper is transformed into a high‐performance plasmonic sensor through a process called SILVERED, which involves single‐step vapor deposition onto fluorosilanized fibers. Surface‐energy contrast drives uniform silver nanoparticle growth with sub‐10 nm hot‐spot gaps, achieving 2 pM detection of rhodamine B.

Extending Structured Dialogic Design With Multi‐Criteria Evaluation: Toward Sustainable Multi‐Species Governance

open access: yesSystems Research and Behavioral Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper presents an innovative integration of structured democratic dialogue with a multi‐criteria evaluation step designed to strengthen participatory decision‐making for complex socio‐ecological challenges. Conducted virtually with Communities of Practice focused on multi‐species governance, the process combined systemic mapping of ...
