Mass Permeability Concept in the Analysis of Treated Ground with Sand Drains
When a soft clay foundation under embankment loading is considered, settlement behavior is affected by the mass permeability and by the magnitude of applied load intensity, which is normalized by the initial undrained bearing capacity. Using these two parameters, the characteristic consolidation settlement behavior of a clay foundation can be ...

Study of Permeability of Glass-Sand Soil
The drainage consolidation method has been efficiently used to deal with soft ground improvement. Nowadays, it has been suggested to use a new sand soil which is a composite of sand and recycled glass waste.

Consolidation Analysis of Ideal Sand‐Drained Ground with Fractional‐Derivative Merchant Model and Non‐Darcian Flow Described by Non‐Newtonian Index [PDF]
To further investigate the rheological consolidation mechanism of soft soil ground with vertical drains, the fractional‐derivative Merchant model (FDMM) is introduced to describe the viscoelastic behavior of saturated clay around the vertical drains, and the flow model with the non‐Newtonian index is employed to describe the non‐Darcian flow in the ...

APPLICATION OF SAND DRAIN PROCEDURE TO ROAD EMBANKMENT ON UNDER-CONSOLIDATED DREDGED CLAY GROUND

Seven‐year surveillance reveals a cold‐adapted OsHV‐1 lineage in blood clams, with disease onset at 13°C—3–5°C lower than in oysters—and identifies asymptomatic carriers and facility effluent as key transmission routes. ABSTRACT Ostreid herpesvirus 1 (OsHV‐1) poses a major threat to bivalve aquaculture, but its impact on blood clams (Anadara ...
