Single‐Crystalline Lateral p‐SnS/n‐SnSe van der Waals Heterostructures by Vapor Transport Growth with In Situ Bi Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In‐situ doping during growth of SnSe and subsequent attachment of SnS produces high‐quality lateral pn‐heterojunctions between van der Waals semiconductors. Electron beam induced current measurements demonstrate electrically active pn‐junctions, paving the way for devices that harness charge separation at lateral interfaces in layered heterostructures.

Experimental and Numerical Analysis of Sandwich Panels Made of Different Core Materials with Plywood Facing

open access: yesDrvna Industrija
Sandwich panels composed of different core materials with plywood facings were analyzed using experimental and numerical methods. Particleboard (PB), fiberboard (MDF), and foam materials were used as the core of the sandwich, while beech plywood was laid

Behaviour of Innovative Concrete Sandwich Panels with Pervious Concrete Core under Flexural Bending

open access: yesMedžiagotyra, 2023
Research studies investigating the possibility of using new core material (other than polystyrene) in concrete sandwich panels are being reported in the literature. In this paper, lightweight pervious concrete core is proposed as a new alternative.

Contact Lens with Moiré Patterns for High‐Precision Eye Tracking

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a passive contact lens for high‐precision eye tracking, integrating a microscopic moiré grating label. The parallax‐induced shift of macroscopic moiré patterns enables angle measurement with 0.28° precision using a standard camera under ambient light.

Homogenization of cellular sandwich panels [PDF]

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mécanique, 2012
The Bending-Gradient plate theory originally presented in Lebée and Sab (International Journal of Solids and Structures 48 (2011) 2878–2888) is applied to cellular sandwich panels. This theory is the extension of the Reissner–Mindlin theory to heterogeneous plates. Its application clarifies common assumptions made in sandwich theory. It also enables to

Switchable Supramolecular Adhesive by Tuning Interfacial Bonding and Modulus

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The supramolecular adhesive (HyDiP) shows reversible adhesion and recyclability. In the dehydrated state, it is dense, stiff (E ≈445 MPa), transparent, and provides strong bonding with adhesion strengths up to 4.65 MPa. In the hydrated state, it becomes porous, soft (E ≈0.11 MPa), and detaches easily, enabling sustainable high‐strength applications ...

PIM moulding of post consumer mixed plastics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Post consumer plastics from household are highly mixed and contaminated and are thus particularly difficult to recycle. Although advances in sorting and cleaning technologies for waste plastics have enable the relatively pure and clean streams such as ...
