Configurable Process Models as a Basis for Reference Modeling [PDF]
Off-the-shelf packages such as SAP need to be configured to suit the requirements of an organization. Reference models support the configuration of these systems. Existing reference models use rather traditional languages.

Change in Intra-annual Sap Flow in Ziziphus Jujube in Arid Oasis under Micro-sprinkler Irrigation
【Objective】 Sap flow in stems is an approximation of transpiration. It changes with the environment and can be used to help irrigation management. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the intra-annual change in sap flow in the stems of jujube ...

Hydraulic lift in Populus euphratica Oliv. from the desert riparian vegetation of the Tarim River Basin [PDF]
In the Tarim River Basin, the desert riparian forest vegetation is under high-temperature and aridity stress However, the vegetation can grow continuously because of deep rooting that can reach groundwater, which can thus redistribute water into the ...

How significant is nocturnal sap flow? [PDF]
Nocturnal sap flow (Qn) has been found to occur across many taxa, seasons and biomes. There is no general understanding as to how much Qn occurs and whether it is a significant contribution to total daily sap flow (Q). A synthesis of the literature and unpublished data was made to determine how significant is Qn, as a proportion of Q (%Qn), across ...

Sap flow of pecan trees in a US Southeastern orchard
Sap flow methods are widely used to estimate water use through transpiration in orchards. This study reports for the first time on pecan tree sap flow properties observed in a micro-irrigated orchard in the southeastern US in 2022 and 2023.

IN recent discussions on the upward movement of sap in trees, I have seen no mention of an interesting observation of Charles Darwin to be found in his “Voyage of the Beagle” (p. 258, John Murray, 1912 edition). He was exploring the Campana or Bell Mountain about 26 miles from Valparaiso, and he writes as follows, for the quotation is worthy to be ...

This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.
