Fuzzy Logic Control of SLMMC-Based SAPF Under Nonlinear Loads

International Journal of Fuzzy Systems, 2019
This work proposes fuzzy logic controller (FLC) for seven-level modular multilevel converter (SLMMC)-based shunt active power filter (SAPF) to reduce harmonics in source current. Half-bridge submodule is proposed for SLMMC due to its simple configuration and low conduction losses.

Harmonic mitigation and resonance damping of MMC-SAPF with low switching frequency

2021 IEEE 4th International Electrical and Energy Conference (CIEEC), 2021
The shunt power capacitor will cause parallel resonance in the medium voltage (MV) power distribution system with nonlinear load. MMC-SAPF with low switching frequency is applied to handle this problem. Firstly, topology and control of device including modulation strategy is studied.

Adaptive control for MMC-SAPF with balanced and unbalanced PCC voltage

IECON 2017 - 43rd Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2017
Three-phase three-wire shunt active power filter (SAPF) with traditional positive-sequence control can only compensate part of the nonlinear load current harmonics if the PCC voltage changes from balanced to unbalanced condition. Changes of both nonlinear load current harmonic components and equivalent circuit for modular multilevel converter based ...

Subarachnoidal-pleural fistula (SAPF) as an unusual cause of persistent pleural effusion. Beta-trace protein as a marker for SAPF. Case report and review of the literature

Acta Clinica Belgica, 2014
We describe a case of a 56-year-old woman who developed a recurrent pleural effusion after a thoracoscopic resection of an anterior bulging thoracic disc hernia (level D9-D10). Despite several evacuating pleural punctions, dyspnea reoccurred due to recurrent pleural effusion, the same side as the disc resection.

Performance analysis of SRF based SAPF with PI and FUZZY controllers

2015 International Conference on Control Communication & Computing India (ICCC), 2015
Current harmonics are the major problem that seen in the distributed system due to the wide spread usage of the harmonic loads. Conventionally, the harmonic related problems are reduced by using the passive harmonic filters. The performance of the passive filter largely depends up on the system impedance and it subjected to change frequently.

Performance of modified-leaky LMS control algorithm for supercapacitor based SAPF

2018 IEEMA Engineer Infinite Conference (eTechNxT), 2018
The next generation of power system is expected to be more complex and sensitive. Therefore, controllers implemented for a custom power device must be efficient and adaptive. In order to mitigate the power quality problems, a Modified Leaky Least Mean Square (MLLMS) control algorithm for a three-phase Supercapacitor based Shunt Active Power Filter ...
