The complete chloroplast genome sequence of Sapindus mukorossi
Mitochondrial DNA Part A, 2014The complete chloroplast genome sequence of Sapindus mukorossi, a critical Chinese medicine, was reported here. The total length of the chloroplast genome is 160,481 bp long with 37.7% overall GC content. A pair of IRs (inverted repeats) of 27,979 bp were separated by SSC (18,873 bp) and LSC (85,650 bp).

Lipids, 1975AbstractThe fatty acid composition ofSapindus mukorossi seed oil was determined by spectrophotometry, urea complexation, and gas liquid chromatography (GLC). The percentages of individual acids were found to be: palmitic, 4.0; stearic, 0.2; arachidic, 4.4; oleic 62.8; linoleic, 4.6; linolenic, 1.6; and eicosenoic, 22.4.

Chemical Investigations of the Sapindus mukorossi Seed Oil
Fette, Seifen, Anstrichmittel, 1982AbstractTwo lipid fractions ‘A’ and ‘B’ were isolated from Sapindus mukorossi seed oil by preparative TLC. Fraction ‘A’ (70.4%, Rf value 0.76) is a normal triglyceride and its fatty acid compositions was determined by GLC. Fraction ‘B’ (29.6%, Rf value 0.51) shows the presence of nitrogenous constituents.

Triterpenoid saponins from the pulp of Sapindus mukorossi and their antifungal activities
Phytochemistry, 2018Under the guidance of anti-fungal bioassay, four previously undescribed oleanane-type and one lupane-type triterpenoid saponins, along with twelve known analogues, were isolated from the extract of Sapindus mukorossi pulps. Their structures were determined on the basis of spectroscopic analysis and chemical methods.

Morphometric Variability in Soapnut (Sapindus Mukorossi) in Himachal Pradesh
Journal of Non-Timber Forest Products, 2014In order to select better seed sources for improved genetic gain and quality production of Sapindus mukorossi, (Ritha) twenty four seed sources and two D.B.H. classes from Himachal Pradesh were evaluated for fruits and seeds morphometric traits. The study revealed significant variation among different seed sources for all traits.
