Operation and processing for scan mode patch-mapping SAR

IGARSS 2003. 2003 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium. Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37477), 2004
The operation and processing for an airborne scan mode patch-mapping synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system are discussed, which serves for moderate fine-resolution mapping of medium-sized terrain patches. The scanning angular scope and velocity are determined by the desired imagery patch size and cross-range resolution respectively.

The Alaska Sar Processor: Operations And Control

12th Canadian Symposium on Remote Sensing Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium,, 2005
The Alaska SAR (synthetic-aperture radar) Facility (ASF) will be capable of receiving, processing, archiving, and producing a variety of SAR image products from three satellite-borne SARs: E-ERS-1 (ESA), J-ERS-1 (NASDA) and Radarsat (Canada). Crucial to the success of the ASF is the Alaska SAR processor (ASP), which will be capable of processing over ...

NOAA operational SAR sea surface wind products

2011 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2011
SAR-derived wind measurements are in the process of being implemented for operational production within NOAA's National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service. For C-band ENVISAT and RADARSAT-1/2 data, the CMOD5 algorithm is being used; for ALOS data, a special L-band wind algorithm is employed.

SAR Raw Data Screening As Fundamental Part Of Operational Sar Processing At The German PAF

[Proceedings] IGARSS '92 International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2005
ERS-1 is the first remote sensing satellite embedded in an endto-end operational service system set up by ESA for continuous long-term earth monitoring. The huge amount of routinely acquired SAR data requires the inclusion of a screening system into the operational SAR processing chain serving manifold purposes: SAR scenes identification for user ...

Operational DEM generation by means of SAR interferometry

IGARSS'97. 1997 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium Proceedings. Remote Sensing - A Scientific Vision for Sustainable Development, 2002
SAR images from the ERS Tandem Phase have been shown to be suitable for generation of digital elevation models by means of SAR interferometry. Based on previous work on SAR interferometry at VTT, a project has been started in Finland on the use of repeat-pass SAR interferometry for operational generation of digital elevation models.

Operation of multifunctional measurement system in SAR mode

Radioengineering
The article analyzes the functioning of a multifunctional radar measurement system (MFRMS) in the radar mode of the synthesized aperture (SAR). The analysis of the characteristics of the MFRMS ensuring the operation of the MFRMS in the SAR mode is carried out, and proposals are made for equipping the existing complex, deployed according to the ...

Alaska SAR Facility Archive and Operations System

OCEANS '88. 'A Partnership of Marine Interests'. Proceedings, 2003
The Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the University of Alaska Geophysical Institute have initiated a program to receive, record, process, and archive synthetic-aperture radar and optical images at the Fairbanks campus. Data will be acquired from the European Space Agency E-ERS-1 and the National Space Development Agency of Japan J-ERS-1 spacecraft.

The Institutions for Handling Central/SAR Relations and Their Operations

2018
In the foregoing chapters we have specifically explored the origins of “one country, two systems” and the establishment of SARs, the principles for handling Central/SAR relations, the division of duties and responsibilities between the Central Authorities and the SARs, and the handling of several combinations of relations relevant to Central/SAR ...
