Carotenoid-glycoprotein of Sarcina Flava Membrane [PDF]
Journal of General Microbiology, 1969 SUMMARY: The carotenoid-glycoprotein isolated from the membranes of Sarcina flava by using synthetic detergents was not resolved into subfractions. It was resistant to extremes of heat and pH value. The peptide moiety carried little net charge and the carotenoid was not easily released.

Ulcerative Gastritis and Esophagitis in Two Children with Sarcina ventriculi Infection
Frontiers in Medicine, 2017 Sarcina ventriculi is a Gram-positive, obligate anaerobic coccus, with a characteristic morphology. Only 22 cases of human infections by this microorganism, including 7 in children, have been reported in literature so far.
