Liver metastasis of endometrial stromal sarcoma

open access: yesWorld Journal of Hepatology, 2012
Resection of liver metastases from gynaecological tumours is uncommon. Endometrial stromal sarcomas (ESS) are low incidence gynecological tumours which can originate in previous sites of endometriosis or following metaplasia of the pelvic peritoneal wall, and which are exceptionally associated with liver metastasis.

CCDC97 is a Promising Predictor in Cancer Diagnosis: A Pan Cancer Analysis

open access: yesAnalytical Cellular Pathology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Background Coiled‐coil domain‐containing 97 (CCDC97) can bind to the splicing factor SF3B complex to participate significantly in pre‐mRNA splicing. However, there may be a risk of cancer development in the case of disrupted mechanism, necessitating further in‐depth investigation of the underlying mechanism.

Case Report: Two instances of lung metastasis in low-grade endometrial stromal sarcoma

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology
BackgroundLow-grade endometrial stromal sarcoma (LGESS) with pulmonary metastasis is a rare malignant mesenchymal tumor. LGESS is composed of cells resembling proliferative endometrial stromal cells.

UK guidelines for the management of soft tissue sarcomas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Soft tissue sarcomas (STS) are rare tumours arising in mesenchymal tissues, and can occur almost anywhere in the body. Their rarity, and the heterogeneity of subtype and location means that developing evidence-based guidelines is complicated by the ...

Clinical and genetic features of multiple primary tumours cohorts with a renal cell carcinoma: Implications for molecular genetic investigations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 157, Issue 12, Page 2532-2543, 15 December 2025.
What's New? Current knowledge of the genetic architecture underlying the development of renal cell carcinoma‐related multiple primary tumours is limited. The authors comprehensively analysed the results of exome/genome sequencing cohorts including 534 patients to better define genotype–phenotype correlations.

Low-Grade Endometrial Stromal Sarcoma and Uterine Adenosarcoma: A Comparison of Clinical Manifestations and Outcomes

open access: yesJournal of Cancer, 2019
Objective: Our study aimed to assess factors associated with progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) in low grade endometrial stromal sarcoma (LG-ESS) and uterine adenosarcoma, and to determine the differences in clinical manifestations

Role of MRI in staging and follow-up of endometrial and cervical cancer:pitfalls and mimickers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
MRI plays important roles in endometrial and cervical cancer assessment, from detection to recurrent disease evaluation. Endometrial cancer (EC) is the most common malignant tumor of the female genital tract in Western countries.

Pulmonary Metastasis of Endometrial Stromal Sarcoma

open access: yesThe Kurume Medical Journal, 2006
Multiple round opacities suggestive of metastatic lung tumors were incidentally found on a chest x-ray film in a 43-year-old woman. The patient underwent hysterectomy for "myoma uteri" three years previously. Extensive examinations could not specify the primary neoplastic lesions.

Mutated TP53 is a marker of increased VEGF expression: analysis of 7,525 pan-cancer tissues. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Anti-angiogenic therapies are an important class of anti-cancer treatment drugs. However, their efficacy is limited to certain tumors and would benefit from identifying a biomarker predictive of therapeutic response.
