Transumbilical laparoendoscopic single‐site surgery versus conventional multi‐port laparoscopy for myomectomy: A large single‐center retrospective study

This retrospective observational study compared clinical outcomes from patients who underwent transumbilical laparoendoscopic single‐site surgery (single‐site laparoscopy) or conventional multi‐port laparoscopy for myomectomy. Single‐site laparoscopy and multi‐port laparoscopy showed similar performance in terms of surgical safety.

Multiple round opacities suggestive of metastatic lung tumors were incidentally found on a chest x-ray film in a 43-year-old woman. The patient underwent hysterectomy for "myoma uteri" three years previously. Extensive examinations could not specify the primary neoplastic lesions.
