SARCOMA OF THE PANCREAS. [PDF]
JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1901 Litten 1 was the first to report a primary sarcoma of the pancreas in which the microscopic findings were recorded. His case occurred in a boy 4 years old. The tumor weighed fifteen pounds. Virchow made the microscopic examination and found a small round-celled sarcoma. This was in 1889.
