StrataXRT Versus Mepitel Film for Prevention of Acute Radiation Dermatitis in Postmastectomy Radiotherapy: A Pooled Analysis of Intra‐Patient Randomised Trials

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences, EarlyView.
In 120 patients receiving postmastectomy radiotherapy, each irradiated chest wall was divided into medial and lateral halves, which were randomised to Mepitel Film or StrataXRT. Mepitel Film reduced grade 2–3 acute radiation dermatitis and clinician‐assessed erythema and moist desquamation over time.

Myeloid sarcoma presenting as an isolated pancreatic mass in a 3‐year‐old child

Current Evidence for Circulating Tumor DNA in Sarcoma: Challenges and Opportunities for Clinical Application

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sarcomas represent a diverse group of mesenchymal tumors with high rates of recurrence after resection. While recent technical advances have enabled the detection of rare circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in other malignancies, the complexity and heterogeneity of sarcoma genomics have historically limited ctDNA in these cancers.

Routine MDM2 FISH Testing and Preoperative Biopsy Reduces Recurrence Rate of Atypical Lipomatous Tumours

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Although MDM2 FISH test has been increasingly used to differentiate ALT and benign lipomatous tumours, its impact on clinical outcome remains underexplored. This study investigated whether routine MDM2 FISH testing on preoperative biopsy is associated with a reduction in the recurrence risk of ALT.
