Co-expression of xenopsin and rhabdomeric opsin in photoreceptors bearing microvilli and cilia
Ciliary and rhabdomeric opsins are employed by different kinds of photoreceptor cells, such as ciliary vertebrate rods and cones or protostome microvillar eye photoreceptors, that have specialized structures and molecular physiologies.

Hox gene expression during development of the phoronid Phoronopsis harmeri
Background Phoronida is a small group of marine worm-like suspension feeders, which together with brachiopods and bryozoans form the clade Lophophorata. Although their development is well studied on the morphological level, data regarding gene expression

FMCW SAR with New Synthesis Method Based on A-SPC Technique [PDF]
Frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar is emerging as a trendy radar system for synthetic aperture radar (SAR). This letter proposes a novel method for the extraction of the SAR image with the FMCW radar. The proposed method can improve the quality of the SAR image.

Purely Speckled Intensity Images Need for SAR Despeckling with SDS-SAR [PDF]
Speckle noise is generated along with the SAR imaging mechanism and degrades the quality of SAR images, leading to difficult interpretation. Hence, despeckling is an indispensable step in SAR pre-processing. Fortunately, supervised learning (SL) has proven to be a progressive method for SAR image despeckling.

Evolutionary interplay between viruses and R‐loops
Viruses interact with specialized nucleic acid structures called R‐loops to influence host transcription, epigenetic states, latency, and immune evasion. This Perspective examines the roles of R‐loops in viral replication, integration, and silencing, and how viruses co‐opt or avoid these structures.

In the blood–testis barrier, occludin is crucial for tight junctions. This study demonstrates that occludin‐targeting short peptides disrupt junction integrity, inducing immune cell infiltration, tumor necrosis factor‐α/interleukin‐6 secretion and mitochondrial dysfunction, ultimately triggering apoptosis.

Combinatorial Wnt signaling landscape during brachiopod anteroposterior patterning
Background Wnt signaling pathways play crucial roles in animal development. They establish embryonic axes, specify cell fates, and regulate tissue morphogenesis from the early embryo to organogenesis.
