Synergistic Integration of Fe–N4 Single‐Atom Sites and Directionally Aligned Electrode Architecture for High‐Performance Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A directionally ice‐templated sulfur cathode integrated with atomically dispersed Fe–N4 catalytic sites is developed for high‐performance lithium–sulfur batteries. The structure–catalysis synergy accelerates Li+ transport and polysulfide conversion, leading to high sulfur utilization and stable long‐term cycling performance.

Caging Polyhalide Anions in Polycyclodextrin for Long‐Lasting Aqueous Zinc‐Iodine Batteries

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We demonstrated poly(β‐cyclodextrin) gel as an ideal host material that effectively contains and releases polyhalide anions in aqueous zinc‐iodine batteries. Such a unique host‐guest chemistry prevents the shuttle effect of polyhalides. The corresponding batteries can operate via both 2e and 4e storage, attaining 60,000 cycles with more than 99% and 85%

Rapid rebound hides glacier mass loss from satellite observations in Alaska and Iceland

open access: yesCommunications Earth & Environment
Time-variable satellite gravimetry constrains global glacier mass change, but requires correction for glacial isostatic adjustment. These corrections are commonly treated as slowly varying background signals from past ice loading and assumed to be ...

Tidal Models in a New Era of Satellite Gravimetry [PDF]

open access: yesSpace Science Reviews, 2003
The high precision gravity measurements to be made by recently launched (and recently approved) satellites place new demands on models of Earth, atmospheric, and oceanic tides. The latter is the most problematic. The ocean tides induce variations in the Earth's geoid by amounts that far exceed the new satellite sensitivities, and tidal models must be ...

Controlling Self‐Doping in Conjugated Polyelectrolyte Copolymers to Vary the Threshold Voltage in OECTs

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Two series of self‐doped conjugated polyelectrolytes are synthesized from a non‐self‐dopable building block 3MEEET and a self‐dopable building‐block 3HOT−[TMA+] or 3HOT−[SO3H] enabling precise control over the degree of self‐doping, which in turn directly governs the threshold voltage (VT) in OECTs over a wide range of 700 mV.

Con GOCE per portare nello spazio un po’ di Made in Europe

open access: yesGEOmedia, 2008
GOCE brings 'Made in Europe' to Space Surveyor's dream of an instrument capable of accurately measuring the Earth's gravimetry. Such a tool has been realised through the GOCE (Gravity field and steady-state Ocean Circulation Explorer). The ESA satellite

Backbone Engineering of Benzodifurandione‐Based n‐Type OMIECs With Antiambipolar Behavior

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Two novel n‐type polymeric organic mixed ionic‐electronic conductors based on an azaisatin and benzodifurandione backbone are developed to enhance aqueous electrochemical devices. This backbone modification provides organic electrochemical transistors with high ambient stability, low threshold voltages, and tunable antiambipolar behavior, opening new ...
