Coagulative Granular Hydrogels with an Enzyme Catalyzed Fibrin Network for Endogenous Tissue Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Coagulative granular hydrogels are composed of packed thrombin‐functionalized microgels that catalyze the conversion of fibrinogen into a secondary fibrin network, filling the interstitial voids. This bio‐inspired approach stabilizes the biomaterial to match the robustness of bulk hydrogels without compromising injectability, mimicking the initial ...

Antisolar Differential Rotation May Have Revived Magnetic Braking in the Subgiant 31 Aquilae

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
Recent observations have shown that sufficiently slow rotation disrupts the organization of large-scale magnetic field in older main-sequence stars, leading to weakened magnetic braking (WMB) and a collapse in the efficiency of the global stellar dynamo.

Natural Biomaterials for Osteochondral Repair: From Source to Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Biological origin‐guided overview of natural biomaterials and therapeutic strategies for osteochondral tissue engineering. The circular diagram categorizes representative materials and strategies into plant/algae‐derived, microbial‐derived, animal‐derived, and human‐derived sources, centered on an osteochondral defect repair model.

MEME08: A global magnetic field model with satellite data weighting [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A new data weighting scheme is introduced for satellite geomagnetic survey data. This scheme allows vector samples of the field to be used at all magnetic latitudes and results in an improved lithospheric model, particularly in the auroral regions ...

On the character and distribution of lower-frequency radio emissions at Saturn and their relationship to substorm-like events [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
With the arrival of the Cassini spacecraft at Saturn in July 2004, there have been quasi-continuous observations of Saturn kilometric radiation (SKR) emissions.

Strain Engineering of Magnetoresistance and Magnetic Anisotropy in CrSBr

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Biaxial compressive strain significantly enhances magnetoresistance and critical saturation fields in thin flakes of the 2D magnet CrSBr, along all three crystallographic axes. First‐principles calculations link these effects to strain‐induced increases in exchange interactions and magnetic anisotropy.

A Survey of the Utility of Satellite Magnetometer Data for Application to Solid-earth Geophysical and Geological Studies [PDF]

open access: yes, 1975
A survey of potential users of low altitude satellite magnetic measurements for solid-earth and geological studies was conducted. The principal objectives of this survey were to: document the utility and application of the data and resultant products ...

Spin and Charge Control of Topological End States in Chiral Graphene Nanoribbons on a 2D Ferromagnet

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Chiral graphene nanoribbons on a ferromagnetic gadolinium‐gold surface alloy display tunable spin and charge states at their termini. Atomic work function variations and exchange fields enabe transitions between singlet, doublet, and triplet configurations.

Magnetic Activities of AD Leonis: Flares in TESS Data and Optical Spectra

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We studied the flaring activities of M4.5 dwarf AD Leo to understand its stellar atmospheres and magnetic activities. We present new observational results on this highly active star, using nonsimultaneous measurement of Transiting Exoplanet Survey ...
