The phase discontinuity problem—where the cyclic nature of phase angles causes catastrophic errors near the ±π boundary—is a fundamental obstacle in learning‐based reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) optimization. A phase‐aware hybrid CNN–LSTM framework resolves this by decomposing phase predictions into sine–cosine components, mapping circular ...

A new photochromic material was developed. Its on/off‐switchable absorption band is situated completely outside the human eye's visibility, in the near‐infrared (NIR) region, a feature never reported before. The photochromism mechanism in this aluminosilicate is elucidated by combining experimental as well as computational results, and the material's ...

Small‐Scale Magnetic Peristaltic Soft Robot With Mobility and Transport Capabilities
This study introduces a miniature, untethered soft magnetic microrobot with peristaltic capabilities for both locomotion and cargo transport. Eight helically magnetized elastomeric strips deform under rotating fields (10–80 mT, 1–5 Hz), enabling movement across rods and lumina at up to 4.1 body lengths min‐¹.

Playing in the Dark: Invisible Chess as a Laboratory for Strategic AI
This paper shows that strategic AI evaluated on perfect‐information benchmarks can be brittle in real adversarial settings. By using invisible chess as a benchmark for hidden state and deception, it argues for stricter testing, human oversight, and more cautious governance of high‐stakes AI systems.

N‐heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) function as “molecular scissors,” cleaving otherwise inert Sb═Sb bonds in distibenes to generate monomeric, zwitterionic stibinide species. These intermediates act as efficient stibinidene transfer reagents, granting access to a rare terminal cobalt–stibinidene complex.

Abstract This study employs a schizocartographic approach to explore community narratives of space, memory, and violence in Kraaifontein, Cape Town. Through participants' accounts, ordinary places—gardens, shops, blocks, sports grounds, and streets—emerge as ambivalent geographies where trauma, resilience, and belonging intersect.

ABSTRACT Asparaginase is a critical treatment component for patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoblastic lymphoma (ALL/LBL). However, the successful delivery of asparaginase‐based therapy remains challenging across care settings due to its complex administration, distinct toxicity profile, prolonged treatment duration, and the need for ...
