Rapid character scoring and tabulation of large leaf‐image libraries using Adobe Bridge

open access: yesApplications in Plant Sciences, Volume 10, Issue 6, November-December 2022., 2022
Abstract Premise Digital image libraries are an integral part of specimen‐based research. However, coding and extracting metadata for hundreds of specimens on a personal computer can be complex. In addition, most existing workflows require downsampling or platform switching and do not link character data directly to the images.

Upper-bounding bias errors in satellite navigation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A satellite navigation system for a safety critical application is required to provide an integrity alert of any malfunction; the probability that a navigation positioning error exceeds a given alert limit without an integrity alert is required to be smaller than a given integrity risk.

Towards Quantum Communication from Global Navigation Satellite System [PDF]

open access: yesQuantum Sci. Technol. 4, 015012 (2019), 2018
Satellite-based quantum communication is an invaluable resource for the realization of a quantum network at the global scale. In this regard, the use of satellites well beyond the low Earth orbits gives the advantage of long communication time with a ground station.

Global Navigation Satellite System Spoofing Detection in Inertial Satellite Navigation Systems

open access: yesInventions, 2023
The susceptibility of global navigation satellite systems (GNSSs) to interference significantly limits the possibility of their use. From the standpoint of possible consequences, the most dangerous interference is the so-called spoofing. Simultaneously, in most cases of GNSS use, an inertial navigation system (INS) or an attitude and heading reference ...

Flexible Production of Spherical Powders of Ti‐V‐Zr‐Nb‐Mo‐Hf‐Ta‐W Refractory High‐Entropy Alloys by Plasma‐Assisted Centrifugal Atomization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
In this work, spherical powders of refractory Ti‐V‐Zr‐Nb‐Mo‐Hf‐Ta‐W high‐entropy alloys (R‐HEAs) have been fabricated in a single step by plasma‐assisted centrifugal atomization. Loss of the heaviest elements in the composition is observed only at rotational speeds higher than 13 000 rpm due to solid‐solid centrifugal separation.

Study on LOS to Vertical Deformation Conversion Model on Embankment Slopes Using Multi-Satellite SAR Interferometry

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information
Slant range geometry plays a crucial role in interpreting synthetic aperture radar (SAR) observations, especially in converting line-of-sight (LOS) surface deformations to actual vertical subsidence. This paper proposes a new conversion model to retrieve
