Incorporating IMERG satellite precipitation uncertainty into seasonal and peak streamflow predictions using the Hillslope Link hydrological model

open access: yesJournal of Hydrology X, 2023
In global applications and data sparse regions, which comprise most of the earth, hydrologic model-based flood monitoring relies on precipitation data from satellite multisensor precipitation products or numerical weather forecasts.

Atomized Oxidative Polymerization as a 3D Printing Platform for Binder‐Free, Bulk Conductive Polymer Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Co‐delivery of electrosprayed EDOT and oxidant enables bulk oxidative polymerization during layer‐by‐layer fabrication, creating stable, highly conductive 3D PEDOT structures. This Atomized Oxidative Polymerization (AOP) overcomes the surface deposition‐only and matrix‐limited conductivity of conventional Vapor Phase Polymerization (VPP) and PEDOT:PSS ...

Representation of tropical deep convection in atmospheric models - Part 1 : Meteorology and comparison with satellite observations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Fast convective transport in the tropics can efficiently redistribute water vapour and pollutants up to the upper troposphere. In this study we compare tropical convection characteristics for the year 2005 in a range of atmospheric models, including ...

Cloud and Precipitation Variability Associated With the Madden‐Julian Oscillation Over the Maritime Continent

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2023
This study reexamines cloud and precipitation variability associated with the Madden‐Julian Oscillation (MJO) over the Maritime Continent (MC), mainly using data acquired in 1998–2013 by the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission satellite.

Support‐Controlled Reaction Pathways via Dynamic Sulfur‐Mediated Interfaces for Selective Urea Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Sulfur‐doped graphitized carbon nanofibers act as adaptive catalyst–support platforms, enabling dynamic sulfur‐mediated reconstruction and strong metal–support interactions. This unique behavior enhances catalyst stability and controls reaction pathways, achieving highly selective urea oxidation (∼92% N2) coupled with efficient hydrogen evolution ...

Global modelling of continental water storage changes : sensitivity to different climate data sets

open access: yes, 2007
Since 2002, the GRACE satellite mission provides estimates of the Earth's dynamic gravity field with unprecedented accuracy. Differences between monthly gravity fields contain a clear hydrological signal due to continental water storage changes. In order

Some implications of sampling choices on comparisons between satellite and model aerosol optical depth fields [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The comparison of satellite and model aerosol optical depth (AOD) fields provides useful information on the strengths and weaknesses of both. However, the sampling of satellite and models is very different and some subjective decisions about data ...

Clusterization‐Triggered Emission from Cellulose‐Based Luminophores in Dilute Aqueous Solution through Imine Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Clusterization‐triggered emission is realized in dilute aqueous solution by introducing imine linkages into cellulose‐based luminophores. Imine functionalization creates O/N‐rich, hydrogen‐bonded clustered microenvironments that stabilize emissive states and restrict molecular motions. Luminescence is tunable by amine type and multiplicity.

Determining the size of lightning-induced electron precipitation patches

open access: yes, 2002
[1] We analyze Trimpi signatures during 23 and 24 April 1994 at four sites on or near the Antarctic Peninsula (Palmer, Faraday, Rothera, and Halley) on subionospheric VLF signals received from four U. S.
