A Comparison for Saturable Absorbers: Carbon Nanotube Versus Graphene
Saturable absorbers (SAs) have been regarded as a low‐cost yet robust and compact solution to pulse generation in different fiber and solid‐state ultrafast lasers. Following the development of different artificial SAs and semiconductor SA mirrors, carbon

Development and saturation investigation of MALO saturable absorber
The paper describes the investigation of saturation effect in newly developed MgAl2O4:Co saturable absorber with the aim of thermally bounding it with the active media such as erbium glasses. On the basis of the experimental results the most important parameters, from the point of view of laser generation, such as ground state absorption cross section,

Higher-order triplet interaction in energy-level modeling of excited-state absorption for an expanded porphyrin cadmium complex [PDF]
Recent measurements of transmission versus fluence for a methanol-solvated asymmetric pentaazadentate porphyrin-like (APPC) cadmium complex, [(C6H4-APPC)Cd]Cl, showed the limitations of current energy-level models in predicting the transmission behavior ...

The Role of Calcitonin Gene‐Related Peptide in High‐Altitude Headache: A Prospective Field Study
ABSTRACT Objective High‐altitude headache (HAH) is a common neurological condition associated with rapid ascent to high altitude. The pathophysiological mechanisms underlying HAH remain incompletely understood. Calcitonin gene‐related peptide (CGRP), a neuropeptide implicated in migraine pathophysiology, may play a key role in the pathophysiology of ...
