Accounting for ALA Natural Mutations Enhances the Efficiency of Graphene Oxide Nanopriming in Bar‐Modified Arabidopsis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanopriming enhances plant resilience to environmental challenges; however, its effectiveness across diverse genetic backgrounds, including genetic modifications and natural variations, remains uncertain. These findings demonstrate that nanopriming improves efficacy when natural genetic variations are considered, particularly in genetically modified ...

An evaluation of 'Feed the Need' and other food assistance programmes on dietary intake and classroom success in a low decile school in South Auckland, New Zealand : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Masters of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics at Massey University, Albany, New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Background: Feed the Need (FTN) is a charitable organisation that provides lunches to low decile schools during winter. Limited literature investigates the effects of such programmes on dietary intake and classroom success in New Zealand children.

Role of Tunneling Nanotubes in Arachidonic Acid Transfer and Macrophage Function Reprogramming in Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tunneling nanotubes facilitate the transfer of long‐chain fatty acids, primarily arachidonic acid, from tumor cells to macrophages, leading to lipid accumulation and activation of the PI3K‐Akt pathway. This drives a shift from the anti‐tumor CD5L⁺ phenotype to a pro‐tumor TREM2⁺ phenotype.

Kindlin Regulates Mechanosensitive Activation and Adhesion Assembly of Integrin beta6

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Extracellular matrix compliance plays a critical role in the regulation of integrin‐mediated adhesion and cell motility. Here, it is reported that strengthening the kindlin2‐integrin β6 interaction overcomes the dependence on extracellular substrate stiffness and promotes integrin β6‐mediated cell migration.

The TET3/GATA6 Axis Drives Lipid Metabolism and Therapeutic Vulnerabilities in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The DNA demethylase TET3 drives lipid metabolic reprogramming in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma via a non‐catalytic mechanism. TET3 recruits histone deacetylases to repress GATA6, sustaining lipogenic enzyme expression and ferroptosis resistance.

Lower Skeletal Muscle Mitochondrial Content After a High Fat Diet Rich in Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids Compared to a High Fat Diet Rich in Monounsaturated Fatty Acids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
High fat diet (HFD) has been associated with weight gain, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes. The composition of fatty acids in various diets (monounsaturated, polyunsaturated, saturated) influence levels of blood insulin, glucose, and the onset of ...
