Saturation and Geometrical Scaling: from Deep Inelastic ep Scattering to Heavy Ion Collisions [PDF]
Saturation of gluon distribution is a consequence of the non-linear evolution equations of QCD. Saturation implies the existence of so called saturation momentum which is defined as a gluon density per unit rapidity per transverse area. At large energies

This talk discusses some recent studies of gluon saturation in nuclei. We stress the connection between the initial condition in heavy ion collisions and observables in deep inelastic scattering (DIS).

Finite saturation for unirational varieties [PDF]
We import ideas from geometry to settle Sarnak's saturation problem for a large class of algebraic ...

ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Assuming that ORD is ω + ω-Erdös we show that if a class forcing amenable to L (an L-forcing) has a generic then it has one definable in a set-generic extension of L[O#]. In fact we may choose such a generic to be periodic in the sense that it preserve the indiscernibility of a final segment of a periodic subclass of the Silver indiscernibles, and ...

Saturation and elementary equivalence of C*-algebras
We study the saturation properties of several classes of $C^*$-algebras. Saturation has been shown by Farah and Hart to unify the proofs of several properties of coronas of $\sigma$-unital $C^*$-algebras; we extend their results by showing that some ...

ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.

Use of Indices in RGB and Random Forest Regression to Measure the Leaf Area Index in Maize
In the cultivation of maize, the leaf area index (LAI) serves as an important metric to determine the development of the plant. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that capture RGB images, along with random forest regression (RFR), can be used to indirectly ...

Influence of Mechanical Yielding on Predictions of Saturation: The Saturation Line [PDF]
It is now well accepted that the mechanical and the water retention behaviour of a soil under unsaturated conditions are coupled and, that such coupling, should be incorporated into a constitutive model for a realistic representation of soil’s response ...
