Saturn’s Ionosphere [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
This chapter summarizes our current understanding of the ionosphere of Saturn. We give an overview of Saturn ionospheric science from the Voyager era to the present, with a focus on the wealth of new data and discoveries enabled by Cassini, including a massive increase in the number of electron density altitude profiles.

Chandra Observation of an X-ray Flare at Saturn: Evidence for Direct Solar Control on Saturn's Disk X-ray Emissions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Saturn was observed by Chandra ACIS-S on 20 and 26-27 January 2004 for one full Saturn rotation (10.7 hr) at each epoch. We report here the first observation of an X-ray flare from Saturn's non-auroral (low-latitude) disk, which is seen in direct ...

Saturn's Rings [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1871
As you have favoured my work on “Saturn's Rings and the Sun” with criticism, I feel sure that as that criticism is adverse to my views, you will in fairness allow me to reply to it.

Did Saturn's rings form during the Late Heavy Bombardment ?

open access: yes, 2008
The origin of Saturn\' s massive ring system is still unknown. Two popular scenarios - the tidal splitting of passing comets and the collisional destruction of a satellite - rely on a high cometary flux in the past.

Validation of SATURN, a free, electronic, self‐administered cognitive screening test

open access: yesAlzheimer’s & Dementia: Translational Research & Clinical Interventions, 2020
Background Cognitive screening is limited by clinician time and variability in administration and scoring. We therefore developed Self‐Administered Tasks Uncovering Risk of Neurodegeneration (SATURN), a free, public‐domain, self‐administered, and ...

Perspectives on integrating artificial intelligence and single‐cell omics for cellular plasticity research

open access: yesQuantitative Biology, Volume 13, Issue 4, December 2025.
Abstract Cellular plasticity enables cells to dynamically adapt to environmental changes by altering their phenotype. This plasticity plays a crucial role in tissue repair and regeneration and contributes to pathological processes such as cancer metastasis.

Microstrip doubler microwave with non-traditional implementation

open access: yesTekhnologiya i Konstruirovanie v Elektronnoi Apparature, 2019
Frequency multipliers are used in electronic devices to generate spectrally pure sinusoidal signals in the frequency range from a few to tens of GHz. The multipliers are used to multiply the frequency of highly stable but more low-frequency devices with ...
