Designed Biomaterial‐Enhanced Cell Transplantation for Neural Tissue Engineering
Biomaterials offer a promising solution for cell transplantation in the central nervous system by creating a protective environment that enhances cell survival, integration, and functional recovery in preclinical models of neurological disorders. ABSTRACT Cell transplantation therapy in the central nervous system is hindered by limited survival and ...

Biomimetic Adhesion/Detachment Using Layered Polymers with Light‐Induced Rapid Shape Changes
Geckos achieve rapid adhesion and detachment through their hierarchically structured toe pads. Inspired by this, we developed a crosslinked polymer film with a nanoscale layered structure that undergoes high‐speed, reversible expansion, and contraction under UV light.

Chiroptical rare earth fluoride nanoparticles induced by helical silica are successfully fabricated via an in situ assembly strategy. Endowed with the features of visible multicolor emissions, hidden time‐resolved photoluminescence, and circularly polarized luminescence, these nanocomposites provide new paradigms for advanced anti‐counterfeiting ...

Two novel XOFs based on [N···Br+···N] interactions were constructed. The XOFs(Br) deliver superior antibacterial properties compared with XOFs(I), due to a greater oxidation capability. Moreover, XOF(Br)‐TPPA, exhibiting greater hydrophilicity, shows superior antibacterial properties relative to XOF(Br)‐TPPE, which is weakly hydrophilic.

Structure and evolution of neuronal wiring receptors and ligands
Abstract One of the fundamental properties of a neuronal circuit is the map of its connections. The cellular and developmental processes that allow for the growth of axons and dendrites, selection of synaptic targets, and formation of functional synapses use neuronal surface receptors and their interactions with other surface receptors, secreted ...
