Transducers Across Scales and Frequencies: A System‐Level Framework for Multiphysics Integration and Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

SC List-Flip Decoding of Polar Codes by Shifted Pruning: A General Approach

open access: yesEntropy, 2022
In the successive cancellation (SC) list decoding, the tree pruning operation retains the L best paths with respect to a metric at every decoding step. However, the correct path might be among the L worst paths due to the imposed penalties. In this case,

ERK‐Mediated Phosphorylation of YAP Defines a Noncanonical FGF Signaling Mechanism in Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
With a powerful combination of in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro models, the authors highlight a novel FGF‐ERK signaling regulation of YAP at the S128 site in neural crest‐derived stem cells. This study opens exciting new directions in stem cell biology and craniofacial biology, paving the way for potential innovations in the treatment of craniofacial ...

Neural Successive Cancellation Polar Decoder With Tanh-Based Modified LLR Over FSO Turbulence Channel

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2020
The neural successive cancellation (NSC) decoder with tanh-based modified log-likelihood ratio (LLR) is proposed for reducing the decoding latency of polar codes over free space optical (FSO) turbulence channel.

Demonstration of Performance Improvement in Multi-User NOMA VLC System Using Joint Transceiver Optimization

open access: yesPhotonics, 2022
The bit error ratio (BER) performance of a non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) visible light communication (VLC) system is poor due to the unequal distances between adjacent points in the superposition constellation (SC).

Symbol-Based Successive Cancellation List Decoder for Polar Codes

open access: yes, 2014
Polar codes is promising because they can provably achieve the channel capacity while having an explicit construction method. Lots of work have been done for the bit-based decoding algorithm for polar codes.

A Decision-Aided Parallel SC-List Decoder for Polar Codes

open access: yesCoRR, 2015
In this paper, we propose a decision-aided scheme for parallel SC-List decoding of polar codes. At the parallel SC-List decoder, each survival path is extended based on multiple information bits, therefore the number of split paths becomes very large and the sorting to find the top L paths becomes very complex.

Marburg Virus Glycoprotein Is a Remarkable Virulent Factor Linked to Hemorrhagic Pathology: Evidence from Multimodal Experimental Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By integrating data from in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models, our research identifies the MARV glycoprotein as a remarkable hemorrhagic factor, filling a major gap in this important field. It also provides practical experimental tools for the basic research on viral pathogenesis and applied research aimed at antiviral intervention for hemorrhagic ...
