Alzheimer's Disease Risk Factor APOE4 Exerts Dimorphic Effects on Female Bone
In aging bone, osteocytes accumulate neurodegenerative risk factor Apolipoprotein E (APOE). A humanized version of the Alzheimer's disease risk allele APOE4 altered the mouse bone transcriptome and proteome, with effects in female bone surpassing the brain, including bone fragility due to suppressed osteocytic maintenance of bone quality, identifying ...

Exploring Heterosis in Melon (Cucumis melo L.)
Heterosis is the superiority of an F1 hybrid over its parents. Since this phenomenon is still unclear in melon, a half diallel experiment based on eight genetically distant breeding lines was conducted in six environments of Central Italy, assessing ...

Redefining A in RGBA: Towards a Standard for Graphical 3D Printing [PDF]
Advances in multimaterial 3D printing have the potential to reproduce various visual appearance attributes of an object in addition to its shape. Since many existing 3D file formats encode color and translucency by RGBA textures mapped to 3D shapes, RGBA

Albumin‐Bound STING Agonist Reprograms HSPCs to Antitumor Neutrophils Enhancing CD8+ T Cell Immunity
This study demonstrates that an albumin‐bound STING agonist (Nano ZSA‐51D) reprograms HSPCs to produce antitumor neutrophils with enhanced MHC I–mediated CD8+ T cell activation, thereby sensitizing tumors to α‐PD1 therapy. These findings highlight a strategy to target early hematopoiesis for shaping neutrophil fate and potentiating cancer immunotherapy.

Survival Probability in Patients with Sickle Cell Anemia Using the Competitive Risk Statistical Model. [PDF]
The clinical picture of patients with sickle cell anemia (SCA) is associated with several complications some of which could be fatal. The objective of this study is to analyze the causes of death and the effect of sex and age on survival of Brazilian ...

Abstract The accurate detection of glucose in wound exudate is critically important for monitoring chronic wound healing. While photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensors are widely used, they often suffer from material degradation caused by redox reactions during operation. Herein, we introduce a dark‐field microscopy (DFM) setup integrated with a PEC system,
