Fundamental Challenges, Physical Implementations, and Integration Strategies for Ising Machines in Large‐Scale Optimization Tasks

Ising machines are emerging as specialized hardware solvers for computationally hard optimization problems. This review examines five major platforms—digital CMOS, analog CMOS, emerging devices, coherent optics, and quantum systems—highlighting physics‐rooted advantages and shared bottlenecks in scalability and connectivity.

Comprehensive assessment of combining ability and heterosis for the development of superior three-line hybrids in rice (Oryza sativa L.)

The present study involved assessment of 70 three-line hybrids obtained by crossing five CMS lines and 14 testers using line x tester mating design for combining ability and heterosis for 13 yield and grain quality traits.

Hallgrimson et al. introduce a machine learning algorithm, siMILe, that takes features of single‐molecule localization microscopy localization clusters (e.g., size and sphericity) and finds the clusters that are associated with certain cell conditions (such as differential protein expression or drug treatment).

Objective Biallelic variants in genes encoding the RNA polymerase III complex (Pol III) cause a spectrum of neurological disorders primarily affecting the central nervous system. Monoallelic variants have been reported in the POLR3B subunit only, associated with neurodevelopmental disorder, epilepsy, and peripheral neuropathy.
