Ultrafast Analog Fourier Transform Using 2-D LC Lattice [PDF]
We describe how a 2-D rectangular lattice of inductors and capacitors can serve as an analog Fourier transform device, generating an approximate discrete Fourier transform (DFT) of an arbitrary input vector of fixed length.

In this paper, a novel method for generating a circularly polarized (CP) quasi-non-diffractive vortex wave carrying orbital angular momentum (OAM), based on the microwave holographic metasurface integrated with a monopole, is proposed. This method is the

Optimization Techniques for the Power Beaming Analysis of Microwave Transmissions from a Space-Based Solar Power Satellite [PDF]
In the 21st century, the development of technologies to produce carbon free power sources remains paramount. In this paper, we study an optimal power transmission strategy from a space-based satellite generation station to Earth using scalar ...

Bimetallic (NiFe) and trimetallic (NiFeCr) nanoalloys (NAs) are synthesized using corresponding oxide mixtures using microwave hydrogen plasma within a few milliseconds. The process simultaneously 1) reduces metal oxides to metals; 2) downsizes the particles from micrometers to nanometers; and 3) blends the metals to form NAs.

The Fresnel Approximation and Diffraction of Focused Waves
In this paper, diffraction of scalar waves by a screen with a circular aperture is explored, considering the incidence of either a collimated beam or a focused wave, a historical review of the development of the theory is presented, and the introduction ...

Nuclear Ground State Observables and QCD Scaling in a Refined Relativistic Point Coupling Model [PDF]
We present results obtained in the calculation of nuclear ground state properties in relativistic Hartree approximation using a Lagrangian whose QCD-scaled coupling constants are all natural (dimensionless and of order 1).

A wood‐based magnetic and conductive material called Magwood (MW), capable of blocking almost 99.99% of electromagnetic waves (in the X‐band frequency range), is synthesized using a simple, solvent‐free process. MW is lightweight, resists water, and is flame‐retardant, making it a promising alternative for shielding electronics. The rapid proliferation

Matrix Wiener-Hopf factorisation [PDF]
A direct method is described for effecting the explicit Wiener-Hopf factorisation of a class of (2 x 2)-matrices. The class is determined such that the factorisation problem can be reduced to a matrix Hilbert problem which involves an upper or lower ...

PBTTT‐OR‐R, a C14‐alkoxy/alkyl‐PBTTT polymer derivative, is of substantial interest for optoelectronics due to its specific fullerene intercalation behavior and enhanced charge‐transfer absorption. Comparing this polymer with (S) and without (O) homocoupling defects reveals that PBTTT‐OR‐R(O) forms stable co‐crystals with PC61BM, while PBTTT‐OR‐R(S ...
