THE MODEL FOR FINAL STAGE OF GRAVITATIONAL COLLAPSE MASSLESS SCALAR FIELD

open access: yesOdessa Astronomical Publications, 2016
It is known that in General relativity, for some spherically symmetric initial conditions, the massless scalar field (SF) experience the gravitational collapse (Choptuik, 1989), and arise a black hole (BH). According Bekenstein, a BH has no "hair scalar",

AdS Ellis wormholes with scalar field

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
In this paper, we study the spherically symmetric traversable wormholes supported by a phantom field in the anti-de Sitter (AdS) asymptotic spacetime.

Real scalar fields on manifolds

open access: yesJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical, 2008
A generic theory of a single real scalar field is considered, and a simple method is presented for obtaining a class of solutions to the equation of motion. These solutions are obtained from a simpler equation of motion that is generated by replacing a set of the original coordinates by a set of generalized coordinates, which are harmonic functions in ...

Black holes and scalar fields [PDF]

open access: yesClassical and Quantum Gravity, 2015
No-hair theorems in theories of gravity with a scalar field are briefly and critically reviewed. Their significance and limitations are discussed and potential evasions are considered.

Regular and Chaotic Regimes in Scalar Field Cosmology

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2006
A transient chaos in a closed FRW cosmological model with a scalar field is studied. We describe two different chaotic regimes and show that the type of chaos in this model depends on the scalar field potential.

Mixing Renormalization for Scalar Fields [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 2003
We consider the renormalization of theories with many scalar fields. We discuss at the one-loop level some simple, non-gauge models with an arbitrary number of scalars and fermions both in mass-shell and MS schemes. In the MS scheme we give a detailed qualitative analysis of the RG flow of dimensionless couplings in flavor space.

Unified Dark Matter Scalar Field Models

open access: yesAdvances in Astronomy, 2010
We analyze and review cosmological models in which the dynamics of a single scalar field accounts for a unified description of the Dark Matter and Dark Energy sectors, dubbed Unified Dark Matter (UDM) models.

Computational visualization of scalar fields

open access: yes, 2015
Scalar fields play a fundamental role in many scientific disciplines and applications. The increasing computational power offers scientists and digital artists novel opportunities for complex simulations, measurements, and models that generate large amounts of data.

The random free field scalar theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Quantum field theories with quenched disorder are so hard to study that even exactly solvable free theories present puzzling aspects. We consider a free scalar field ϕ in d dimensions coupled to a random source h with quenched disorder.

Constrained instantons in scalar field theories

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Instantons, localised saddle points of the action, play an important role in describing non-perturbative aspects of quantum field theories, for example vacuum decay or violation of conservation laws associated with anomalous symmetries.
