We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

The Scalar Field Dark Matter model has been known in various ways throughout its history; Fuzzy, BEC, Wave, Ultralight, Axion-like Dark Matter, etc. All of them consist in proposing that dark matter of the universe is a spinless field Φ that follows the ...

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Cosmological Dynamics of Anisotropic Kaniadakis Holographic Dark Energy Model in Brans-Dicke Gravity
The present study examines the Kaniadakis holographic dark energy in the context of the Brans-Dicke scalar-tensor theory of gravity (Phys. Rev. 124: 925, 1961).

Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Effects of Curvature–Scalar Coupling on Vacuum Energy in Flat (3+1)-Dimensional Space-Time
We investigated how a magnetic topological defect affects the vacuum polarization of a charged massive scalar field in a flat (3+1)-dimensional space-time.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

DYNAMICS OF ANISOTROPIC SHARMA-MITTAL HOLOGRAPHIC DARK ENERGY MODEL IN BRANS-DICKE THEORY [PDF]
The Brans-Dicke scalar-tensor theory of gravity (Phys. Rev. 124, 925: 1961) is applied in this work to study the Sharma-Mittal holographic dark energy on a background of anisotropic and spatially homogenous Bianchi type-II spacetime.

Einstein-aether theory in Weyl integrable geometry
We study the Einstein-aether theory in Weyl integrable geometry. The scalar field which defines the Weyl affine connection is introduced in the gravitational field equation.
