Color Area Morphology Scale-Spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The use of morphological scale-spaces has become a popular tool for the multiscale analysis of grey-scale images. However, in common with other morphological techniques, their extension to color and other multichannel images is not straightforward because of the absence of an unambiguous ordering.

Simultaneous Confidence Bands for Functional Data Using the Gaussian Kinematic Formula

open access: yes, 2019
This article constructs simultaneous confidence bands (SCBs) for functional parameters using the Gaussian Kinematic formula of $t$-processes (tGKF). Although the tGKF relies on Gaussianity, we show that a central limit theorem (CLT) for the parameter of ...

Scale-Space Properties of Nonstationary Iterative Regularization Methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Most scale-space concepts have been expressed as parabolic or hyperbolic partial differential equations (PDEs). In this paper we extend our work on scale-space properties of elliptic PDEs arising from regularization methods: we study linear and nonlinear

Analysis of Treacher Collins syndrome 4‐associated mutations in Schizosaccharomyces pombe

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Fission yeast models carrying Treacher Collins syndrome type 4‐associated mutations reveal that impaired processivity of RNA polymerase I leads to defective rRNA transcription. This study highlights the essential role of a conserved arginine residue in Pol I elongation and provides mechanistic insight into the pathogenesis of ribosomopathies.

Modified Fermions Tunneling Radiation from Nonstationary, Axially Symmetric Kerr Black Hole

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2019
In this paper, by applying the deformed dispersion relation in quantum gravity theory, we study the correction of fermions’ tunneling radiation from nonstationary symmetric black holes.

Hands‐on protocol for preparing water‐soluble fractions from agri‐food samples for NMR‐based metabolomics analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This research protocol outlines a workflow for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)‐based metabolomics in the agri‐food sector. Using two case studies—strawberry leaves (solid matrix) and wine (liquid matrix)—it details the procedures for sample preparation, data acquisition, and processing.
