Effect of Core Geometry on Frequency Correlations and Channel Capacity of a Multimode Optical Fiber

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
Structured wavefronts focused at the output of multimode fibers reveal a distinct spatial dependence of frequency correlation bandwidth between circular and rectangular cores. Unlike conventional circular‐core fibers, rectangular‐core fibers maintain uniform bandwidth across all transverse locations, enabling over a 20% increase in channel capacity for

Facile Functionalization of Separator with an Amino Acid to Boost Li–S Battery Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
This study introduces a viable bio‐approach to functionalize conventional separators using leucine‐polyacrylic acid (Leu‐PAA) via the simple soaking method. This strategy synergistically improves polysulfide trapping, regulates lithium‐ion flux, and enhances thermal and mechanical stability, leading to excellent cycling stability.

Exploring replica-Potts CFTs in two dimensions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We initiate a numerical conformal bootstrap study of CFTs with S n  ⋉ (S Q ) n global symmetry. These include CFTs that can be obtained as coupled replicas of two-dimensional critical Potts models.

Transformation of 3D Metal–Organic Frameworks into Nanosheets with Enhanced Memristive Behavior for Electronic Data Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The design of 3D MOFs based on neutral and anionic ligands allows implementing the structural transformation from 3D to 2D nanosheets with improved insulating properties, utilized for efficient ultrathin memristive elements. Abstract The transition from three‐dimensional (3D) to two‐dimensional (2D) semiconducting and insulating materials for micro ...

Structural Insights into an Antiparallel Chair‐Type G‐Quadruplex From the Intron of NOP56 Oncogene

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study first reports that the intron 1 of NOP56 oncogene forms an antiparallel chair‐type G4 structure composed of two G‐tetrads and one C∙G∙C∙G tetrad. NOP56 gene transcription can be inhibited by PDS that binds and stabilizes NOP56‐G4. Solution NMR structures of the free NOP56‐G4 and NOP56‐G4‐PDS complex provide valuable insights into G4 ...

Atroposelective Arene‐Forming Alkene Metathesis**

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 134, Issue 51, December 19, 2022., 2022
The feasibility of alkene metathesis to catalytically control stereogenic axes by traceless arene formation is reported. Key to the process is a selective conversion of stereodynamic trienes by a chiral molybdenum catalyst, providing configurationally‐stable atropisomers under mild conditions in excellent yields with up to 98 : 2 e.r.
