New Diamond-α Steffensen-Type Inequalities for Convex Functions over General Time Scale Measure Spaces

open access: yesAxioms, 2022
In this paper, we extend some Steffensen-type inequalities to time scales by using the diamond-α-dynamic integral. Further, we prove some new Steffensen-type inequalities for convex functions utilizing positive σ-finite measures in time scale calculus ...

Statistical Analysis of Water Masers in Star-Forming Regions: Cepheus A and W75 N [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We have done a statistical analysis of Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA) data of water masers in the star-forming regions (SFRs) Cepheus A and W75 N, using correlation functions to study the spatial clustering and Doppler-velocity distribution of these ...

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

Predicting Building Types and Functions at Transnational Scale

open access: yesIEEE Access
Building-specific knowledge, such as building type and function information, is important for numerous energy applications. However, comprehensive datasets containing this information for individual households are lacking in many regions of Europe.

Multi-scale exploration of convex functions and bandit convex optimization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We construct a new map from a convex function to a distribution on its domain, with the property that this distribution is a multi-scale exploration of the function.

A new topology on the space of Lorentzian metrics on a fixed manifold

open access: yes, 2002
We give a covariant definition of closeness between (time oriented) Lorentzian metrics on a manifold M, using a family of functions which measure the difference in volume form on one hand and the difference in causal structure relative to a volume scale ...

Psychological Safety Among Interprofessional Pediatric Oncology Teams in Germany: A Nationwide Survey

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Psychological safety (PS) is essential for teamwork, communication, and patient safety in complex healthcare environments. In pediatric oncology, interprofessional collaboration occurs under high emotional and organizational demands. Low PS may increase stress, burnout, and adverse events.

Persistence of small-scale anisotropies and anomalous scaling in a model of magnetohydrodynamics turbulence

open access: yes, 2000
The problem of anomalous scaling in magnetohydrodynamics turbulence is considered within the framework of the kinematic approximation, in the presence of a large-scale background magnetic field. The velocity field is Gaussian, $\delta$-correlated in time,
