This review systematically analyzes deformable drones, including extendable, foldable, and tilting configurations, along with nature‐inspired flapping rotorcraft. By classifying deformation principles and structural mechanisms, design trade‐offs, functional capabilities, and future development potential are highlighted.

We analyze burrowing dynamics and 3D kinematics and design a locust‐inspired hybrid soft–stiff robot that reproduces this mechanism. A stimuli‐responsive electrofluidic nervous system (SENS) is introduced to achieve sensing, signal processing, and decision‐making using soft materials. Comprising fluidic switches and electroactive actuators, SENS enables multimodal stimuli‐responsiveness and autonomous control in soft robots.
