CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

The Applications of Mixtures of Normal Distributions in Empirical Finance: A Selected Survey [PDF]
This paper provides a selected review of the recent developments and applications of mixtures of normal (MN) distribution models in empirical finance. Once attractive property of the MN model is that it is flexible enough to accommodate various shapes of

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Kendall’s tau and Spearman’s rho for normal location-scale and skew-normal scale mixture copulas
We derive explicit formulas for Kendall's tau and Spearman's rho for two broad classes of asymmetric copulas: normal location-scale mixture copulas and skew-normal scale mixture copulas. These classes encompass widely used specifications, including the normal scale mixture, skew-normal, and various skew-$t$ copulas, as special cases.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Topics in minimax shrinkage estimation
The dissertation considers three different topics which pertain to minimax shrinkage estimation: 1) Minimax estimation of a mean vector with variable selection for classes of spherically symmetric distributions: The results of Zhou and Hwang [31] and ...

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Posterior rates of convergence for Dirichlet mixtures of exponential power densities
A Dirichlet mixture of exponential power distributions, as a prior on densities supported on the real line in the problem of Bayesian density estimation, is a natural generalization of a Dirichlet mixture of normals, which has been shown to possess good ...
