On approximate KNO scalling at $$\bar PP$$ collider
Approximate KNO scaling is found to hold in a mixed two-component model up to\(\bar pp\) collider energies. It is shown that fragmentation processes play an increasingly dominant role with higher energies. This should result in the appearance of a “bump” which is already apparent at collider energies.

Sequential Formation of Low-Mass Stars in the BRC 14 Region [PDF]
We have carried out a deep near-infrared survey of a bright-rimmed molecular cloud, BRC 14 (IC 1848A). The 10 sigma limiting magnitude of the survey is 17.7 mag at the K-band.

Differential cytokine responses following Marek's disease virus infection in chicken genotypes differing in resistance to Marek's disease [PDF]
The production of cytokine mRNAs, in addition to viral DNA, was quantified by real-time quantitative reverse transcription-PCR (RT-PCR) (cytokines) or PCR (virus) in splenocytes during the course of Marek's disease virus (MDV) infection in four inbred ...

Two-orbital Kondo effect in quantum dot coupled to ferromagnetic leads
We study the Kondo effect of a two-orbital vertical quantum dot (QD) coupled to two ferromagnetic leads by employing an equation of motion method. When the ferromagnetic leads are coupled with parallel spin polarization, we find three peaks in the single-

The SkinCARE questionnaire is a validated tool for assessing the impact of skin condition on psychological wellbeing. The present data also suggest greater skin wellbeing is linked to lower levels of perceived stress and good sleep health. Abstract Background In recent years, the psychological dimension of skin health has attracted increasing research ...

A brief note on the spectrum of the basic Dirac operator
In this paper, we prove the invariance of the spectrum of the basic Dirac operator defined on a Riemannian foliation $(M,\mathcal{F})$ with respect to a change of bundle-like metric.

Dike Swarms in the Oceanic Lithosphere Beneath the Ontong Java Plateau
Abstract The Ontong Java Plateau (OJP) is believed to have formed through large‐scale Cretaceous volcanism, but the impact of the massive volcanism on the lithosphere remains largely unknown. In this study, the ascent process of the thermochemical plume and its impact on the physicochemical properties of the pre‐existing lithosphere were explored. High‐

On the existence of an upper critical dimension for systems within the KPZ universality class
In this work we extend the etching model to $d+1$ dimensions. This permits us to investigate its exponents behaviour on higher dimensions, to try to verify the existence of an upper critical dimension for the KPZ equations, with our results sugesting ...
