An energy-independent parametrization of the non-scalling multiplicity distribution
Abstract A new non-scaling formula is proposed to describe the multiplicity distribution of particles produced in hadronic collision at high energy. The formula is a negative binomial distribution specified by an energy-independent parameter k ', and is the consequence of a dynamical branching model.

Preliminary Feasibility of Dedicated Breast CT With an Inverse Geometry [PDF]
In this study we theoretically investigated the minimum scan time of an inverse-geometry dedicated breast CT system that provides sufficient sampling and dose equivalent to mammography without exceeding the limits of source power or detector count rate ...

Centrifuge Modeling of Soil Loss Effects on Adjacent Pile Foundations Induced by Tunnel Excavation
In the context of rapid urbanization and infrastructure development, tunnel excavation has become increasingly popular in urban areas. However, the effect of tunneling on adjacent foundation piles is one of the most serious issues, especially in cohesionless soils. This study was performed by centrifuge modeling at 100 g acceleration to investigate the

Satellite‐Based Solar Irradiance Forecasting: Replacing Cloud Motion Vectors by Deep Learning
HelioNet, a convolutional neural network, is developed to produce significantly clearer forecasts of cloud index images compared to a well‐established vector‐based reference model. These images are crucial for satellite‐based forecasting of solar irradiance.
